David F. Peer, MSW, LCSW, BCD
Mr. Peer is a gifted psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience treating individuals, couples and families.
He is knowledgeable in the most cutting edge techniques available for helping individuals, couples and families with a wide array of problems including: Depression, Panic Attacks, Anxiety, OCD, Relationship and Interpersonal Problems, Grief reactions, self esteem issues, personal growth and overcoming self defeating behaviors. In addition, he helps individuals deal with complex trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Victimization, Anger Management, and Addictive Diseases. He has helped many couples improve communication, develop better conflict resolution skills and improve feelings of intimacy and commitment.
Mr. Peer is well versed in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, systems approaches, interpersonal psychotherapy as well as other research driven therapies. Individual treatment plans are based on the mindful approach to the unique treatment needs of each person or couple.
Mr. Peer received his Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh’s Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic’s Anxiety Program. He is currently licensed by the State of Florida and is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work.
